Begin by slicing the tofu block to yield 4-5 large rectangular pieces, approximately the size of your bread slice.
Season the tofu slices as desired, ensuring they're coated well.
Heat avocado oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Once hot, add the tofu slices and sear one side until it turns a beautiful golden hue.
Flip the tofu over. On the seared side, lay a slice or some shreads of vegan cheese. Cover the pan to allow the cheese to melt onto the tofu, creating a cheesy delight.
As the tofu cooks, toast your whole wheat bread slices to a golden-brown crispness. Once toasted, spread desired amount of hummus over both slices.
On one of the slices, add a layer of mashed avocado, smoothing it out to cover the entire slice.
Once your tofu is perfectly cooked with the melted vegan cheese, lay it on top of the mashed avocado.
Place a couple of ounces of thinly sliced Tomato Basil Vegami over the tofu. The rich, smoky flavor of the Vegami beautifully complements the tofu and avocado.
If you're a fan of fresh herbs, sprinkle chopped cilantro and dill on top for an added burst of flavor.
Complete the sandwich by placing the second slice of bread on top, hummus side down.
